Smash attacks only leave you more vulnerable when you're charging them. And all FD stages have the same ceiling height so that shouldn't be a factor. The fact that counters multiply knock-back and increase percentage in general is stupid.
Ah, thanks for the correction Rambo. I could have sworn the FD stages all had different blast-zone distances, but I can't find anything to back that up. But yeah, I agree. I didn't think any counter would be as broken as Shulk's but apparently I was wrong.

There are probably a lot of factors of why Little Mac basically died in one hit, like his weight, the fact that Smash attacks leave you more vulnerable to launching, and the stage ceiling height. But still, it's kind of stupid when a counter kills at that low of a percent. I never saw counters as something annoying in Smash until this game.

Oh I know. Counters are stupid. I got killed by Shulk's counter using Ryu's nair the other day.

To be fair Little Mac does have a ridiculous launch rate, which gets multiplied back from the counter. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure that was the gut punch fsmash and way too many characters have counters.

Sakurai just keeps adding knock-back for counters every single patch until counters are always a one-hit KO.
